UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure Expands Operational Capacity with Aura Vision COMET-C LED Display Technology
The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEI) has commissioned a new national control centre featuring a state-of-the-art Aura Vision COMET-C 1.2 LED videowall, expanding its ability to monitor and manage the country’s energy and infrastructure systems in real time.
The Ministry oversees the UAE’s National Water and Electricity Network and regulates energy and fuel pricing in line with international standards. Its control centres provide the critical link between live operational data and decision-making that supports essential national services.
Four years after the successful completion of its first control centre, the Ministry embarked on a second facility to increase monitoring capacity and accommodate the country’s growing network of energy and infrastructure assets. Developed in collaboration with Martin Professional Middle East, the technology was delivered by VenueTech LLC, who supplied the Aura Vision COMET-C 1.2 LED videowall alongside the centre’s audio, conferencing, and automation systems.
The new facility required a large-format, high-resolution display capable of operating continuously while maintaining exceptional image quality from multiple viewing positions. Reliability, seamless integration, and long-term performance were key requirements.
VenueTech selected the Aura Vision COMET-C series specifically for its proven ability to perform in mission-critical environments where system uptime and image accuracy are paramount. The installed system comprises 120 LED panels arranged in a 20 x 6 configuration, creating a 12.2-metre by 2.06-metre display with a total resolution of 9,600 x 1,620 pixels.
The COMET-C series was chosen for its combination of visual performance, engineering reliability, and system flexibility. Key factors influencing the decision included:
• Seamless, bezel-free viewing for uninterrupted data and video monitoring • Superior reliability and true 24/7 operational capability • High brightness and colour accuracy for consistent visibility in all conditions • Fine pixel pitch and high resolution enabling detailed image clarity • Wide viewing angles for clear visibility across the control room • Integration flexibility and scalability to support future expansion
Together, these features provide operators with a clear, stable, and continuous visual interface that enhances situational awareness and supports real-time decision-making.
The new control centre strengthens the Ministry’s ability to manage and respond to infrastructure operations across the UAE. Its installation builds on the success of the first facility, marking another step in the Ministry’s ongoing investment in advanced technology to support national energy management.
